About City Music

What started as a small music store in Gardner, Massachusetts, in 2003 has grown into a thriving local and online music business serving musicians in our community and around the country.

City Music was founded by Marc Rines and Nancy Karuzis with a simple goal: to create a place where musicians could find great instruments and gear, get knowledgeable advice, and feel at home. In 2006, Marc opened a second location in Leominster, Massachusetts. Today, our Leominster store is at the heart of City Music, alongside our growing online business. Today, City Music serves musicians online through platforms including eBay, Reverb, and Amazon, in addition to our own online store.

City Music is now owned and operated by father-and-son team Marc and Stephen Rines. Together, they continue to build on the same values the business was founded on—great products, competitive prices, knowledgeable service, and a genuine passion for music.
