The D'Addario XSE0942 is a coated nickel-plated steel electric guitar string set in a super-light gauge, .009-.042. An ultra-thin XS coating on the wound strings, plus a polymer treatment on the plain strings, extends string life while preserving tone and a smooth feel. The strings use nickel-plated steel wrap wire over an NY Steel core for bright tone and tuning stability. Made in the USA.
